Greenwise-IT Training Services

Greenwise-IT is very different to other Green IT Training providers.
First and foremost our trainers and far more than simply ‘slide readers’. They are experienced IT Managers and Green IT Practitioners. They bring to the classroom years of experience in the practical application of Green IT. They truly understand the subject, and are therefore able to use real life examples to illustrate and bring to life the Green IT theory and concepts.
We offer two Public Training Courses:
Green IT Fundamentals® course: This 2 day instructor led course provides a comprehensive introduction to the world of Green IT. It is suitable for anyone working in an organisation that has a need to understand the main concept and principles of Green IT. The course explains what Green IT is, the main concepts, principles, and practices of Green IT. Full details of this course can be found here.
Green IT Consultant® course: This 3 day instructor led course leads to the highest level of Green IT formal certification available today – the internationally renowned Green IT Consultant Certificate. This is a must have qualification for those providing Green IT consultancy (either internally or externally to an organisation). This course covers the main concepts, principles and practices of Green IT, and additionally looks at the legal requirements of organisations towards carbon emissions and the implications of this for IT. It also covers the techniques required to measure the carbon footprint of the IT estate, and the steps involved in developing reduction measures (including building a business case and developing a meaningful Green IT Strategy). Full details of this course can be found here.
We also offer ‘in-house’ Green IT awareness courses & workshops:
Green IT Awareness course / workshop: These are tailored to meet your needs – we present information meaningful to your organisation in a way that is meaningful to your staff.
They can range in duration from 2 hours to the full day. Their content and message is largely dependent upon the audience.
For example, for more senior managers in your organisation we can deliver a more ‘strategic’ overview, elaborating what Green IT actually is, the growing pressure on IT Managers to develop and implement a meaningful Green IT Strategy, and the various KPIs and metrics that can be used to measure success. For less senior staff we can offer a more ‘tactical’ approach, making them aware of the Green IT ‘issue’, showing how they can contribute to Green IT, and ensuring they become familiar with the relevant concepts and principles of Green IT.
